Working on the birth story. A little bit it's all still rather chaotic in my mind so I hope to piece it together eventually. My MW just left after a lovely visit; Colin's weight is going back up nicely (not that I was worried) and the PKU is out of the way (poor boy!).

He's such a good sleeper that I have to wake him to eat, though once I do rouse him he's instantly alert, hungry, and pissed about it! If not for the giant rock breasts with flamingly painful nipples, I could get 4 hour stretches of sleep pretty easily.

Our kitchen is extremely well stocked with food! I have wonderful friends. Unfortunately a lot of the foods are really gassy stuff: hummus, garlicky penne, broccoli and cauliflower, etc. I'm sticking to my position that it is not worth it. Yes, expose babies to all flavours and all of that but I've dealt with a baby who reacts to foods and I'd rather avoid it. (Besides, I don't need broccoli after effects myself, know what I mean?) So I'm sad to skip the homemade hummus and whatever, but the boys and Ian sure are in heaven. Now, the fresh pita and dark chocolate almond fudge I will definitely be enjoying today! :)

Okay, babe sleeps, kettle just boiled, house is quiet for about 45 more minutes - off I go.

P.S. SHIT. I've lost my wedding rings. I noticed they were off and thought "Oh, I left them in my grey hoodie pocket", which I then couldn't locate, but have since, and they are not there. Nor anywhere else. Shit.
